don't know the orginal. kool playing. sweet voice. vocals could be a tad louder. nice chord changes in this and you play them well. guitar sounds very nice. you're on the right road artistically...keep it up.. post more :grooving:

Nice take on this tune I like the Gary Jules version, but I prefer the original Tears For Fears version.. have you heard that? It is very cool
Anyway back to this recording - I like the fact that you haven't just done a carbon copy of the song, changing the vocal melody in places to suit your own singing style

I am a big fan of the original version of this song so I couldn't pass up the chance to hear you cover it.
The Tears for Fears version to me is a classic 80's tune that still is as cool to list to today. But I just loved the heartache Gary Jules seemed to convey in his version.
You do this justice. I feel that you sing it with a lot of heart. You’re singing is a little out in comparison to the guitar just a tad at times. Still it has this appealing Kristin Hersh feeling to it and man I love that girls work. Still it has a certain charm that is your own. Well done.

I like this. Your voice fits this much better than 'I miss you'. I had no idea that it was tears for fears originally. But i have heard Gary Jules version from donny darko. anyways. This is a nice cover.

Nice, I liked it. Would have liked to hear the piano re-created. Your version had a bit of edge to it though.

I don't know the 1st thing about the original & am not much of a critic either, so I'll just give ya my impressions on the tune from a listener standpoint (once it loads over my connection lol)...
I like the solo acoustic, esp what you do with strumming (ie stopping with the hand for a split second then continuing, that's cool) and you have a very pretty voice too.

excellent choice for a song to cover! this one is just beautiful, in all it's versions.
your playing is coming along very welland is fun to listen to. voice seems to trail of in a few bits, but this is a tricky song vocally, and you did well with it. as before, can't wait to hear more from you! esp. those originals ..
